POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Showmax:

Series: Raised by Wolves

Once again filmed in Cape Town, Season 2 sees Android partners Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), along with their brood of six human children, join a newly formed atheistic colony in Kepler 22 b’s mysterious tropical zone.

Movie: Judas and the Black Messiah

Judas and the Black Messiah is inspired by the true story of the betrayal and assassination of Fred Hampton, chairman of the Black Panther Party.

For the kids: Are You Afraid of the Dark

There’s nothing like the thrill of a good scary story, and this series promises all the chills, creeps and frights teens and brave tweens can handle, once again courtesy of the Midnight Society, a group of teens who gather at midnight to tell stories of hair-raising horror.

Netflix:

Series: Sweet Magnolias

Lifelong friends Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the small, Southern town of Serenity.

Movie: The Tinder Swindler

Posing as a wealthy, jet-setting diamond mogul, he wooed women online then conned them out of millions of dollars. Now some victims plan for payback.

For the kids: Honey Girls

Three young musicians enter a talent competition hosted by pop star Fancy G to become the next big solo act but find their talents are better together.
