What2Watch: This week’s worth-the-watch

Here is Review’s rundown of what to stream on Showmax and Netflix this week.

POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

What to Watch this week on:

Showmax:

Series: Succession

Succession, winner of Best Drama at both the Emmys and Golden Globes in 2020, follows four very rich siblings behaving very badly while trying to win their father’s approval – and control of his company, a global media and entertainment empire.

Movie: Summerland

Set in an idyllic South England seaside village, British drama Summerland sees a reclusive writer reluctantly taking in a young evacuee from London during World War II.

For the kids: Bigfoot Family

A hairy – not so scary – Halloween treat, Bigfoot Family packs in the action and adventures… while taking on the oil companies. Following the events of the 2018 film The Son of Bigfoot, Bigfoot decides to use his fame to protect a wildlife reserve from oil conglomerate X-Trakt, but when Bigfoot mysteriously disappears, his son Adam must journey to find and rescue him, along with his mom, Shelly, and their animal friends.

Netflix:

Series: Dynasty

The Carringtons and the Colbys feud for control over their fortune — and their children — in this updated reboot of the classic prime-time soap.

Movie: Night Teeth

A young driver picks up two mysterious women for a night of party hopping. But when his passengers reveal their true nature, he must fight to stay alive.

For the kids: Maya and the Three

A spirited princess with the heart of a warrior embarks on a mission to fulfil an ancient prophecy and save humanity from the wrath of vengeful gods.
