There were 14 challenges that competitors had to complete in order to make the team that will move on to the national championships.
Competitors were tested on riding skills and technique at intermediate off-road riding level. Skill tests are based on the International GS Trophy qualifying rules and regulations. Tests included the display of riding skill and technique, fitness, mental capability, mechanical skill and teamwork. Previous off-road training is highly recommended for successful participation. Participants included Gerrit du Toit, Shaun Keating, Willie du Preez, Jean-Roux Alberts, Herman Niemandt, Herman du Bruyn and Harry Beukes.
In September the three participants will compete in the national championships with the possibility to be included in the South African team that will compete in Albania in 2022.
