Miss Career finalist needs you vote

The 23-year-old Prudence Maloka is passionate about entrepreneurship and networking.

POLOKWANE – Miss Career finalist Prudence Maloka is looking for your assistance to win the crown.

The 23 -year-old from Ga Molepo is the brains behind The Networking Cocktail event, which aims to evoke the spirit of entrepreneurship, leadership and ownership. The event brings entrepreneurs and corporates together under one roof to network and connect in the name of prospective business ventures.

“I am very passionate about entrepreneurship; I believe that entrepreneurship is the only solution for all communities in the world and it is not where you come from that determines your future, but your mind set and self-determination. Developing a community is one the element that makes me one of the best candidates,” she said.

She became part of The Miss Career Africa after she came across a link to the competition on social media, and it was a contest she felt she could relate to as a young entrepreneur herself.  She has been selected for the Top 15 Southern African countries and is the only person representing South Africa.

She needs your votes to reach the Top 10 and be part of a bootcamp which will take place in Kigali, Rwanda at the end of the year. “The competition has opened more doors for the finalists as they have academic sponsorships that contestants can take advantage of,” she explained. If she wins the competition, she will be matched with the right mentorship and sponsorship.

Prudence is calling on the public to vote and grant her the opportunity to show the world that impediments that were put ahead of women are yet to be removed. “Let’s walk this journey together because all of us we will benefit directly or not directly from this beautiful initiative. Let’s work together in building our brands which will result in good economy. My final massage to my prospective voters is that we all should be committed in every project we do and stay positive all the time and be consistent,” she said.

Voting closes on 2 June.  Click on https://misscareerafrica.org/candidate-page/173.
