Toast to the opening of the Uhuru Wine Emporium

In what may well be the biggest launch of the year, Uhuru Wine Emporium, owned by Mmabogoshi Msiza, opened with a bang.

POLOKWANE – The launch boasted the heavyweights of the province such as Premier Chupu Mathabatha, Capricorn Mayor John Mpe and MECs in their various capacities. The wine emporium offers wine enthusiasts a place to call their own and guests were treated to surprise performances by Karabo Mogane (Idols South Africa, Season 11) and award-winning, DJ Zinhle. The master of ceremony for the occasion was Hlekani Shikwambana.

Msiza said the wine emporium was a lifelong dream of hers that finally materialised and it would not have been possible without the support of her husband, Danny Msiza, and family and friends. She also gave a word of appreciation to her staff who worked tirelessly to make sure the place is a success. She added that she had mixed emotions when she reached the milestone. “This is a dream come true, a reflection of my life and you will see it in the service offerings. I am excited and feel fulfilled and rewarded at the same time. When I look back, I feel nostalgic. This achievement is nothing short of a miracle and I am glad and grateful to the Almighty for making it possible,” she said. Mathabatha congratulated Msiza on the launch and added that there was a gap in the market for an upmarket spot for people to go to avoid having to travel as far as Melrose Arch for the night life of a certain calibre. “I am your number one client. Mayor Mpe might have said he is your number one client, but he will have to come second to me,” he added to laughter from the audience.
