The ‘complete’ picnic experience

With a vision to give top food and design entrepreneurs a space to trade, the All in One Picnic Market aims to encourage inner city lifestyle and provide a relaxed and creative space for marketers to trade, and for locals to spend their weekend leisure time.

POLOKWANE – The market, which is to be considered a the ‘complete’ experience, is the brainchild of Rhulani Rivombo and Khutso Makhafola who decided to collaborate in the name of empowering Polokwane.

“This event is basically a social market with a picnic theme, aimed at creating brand engagement while bringing people together to socialise and network in a friendly, social environment. The idea behind it is to build an exciting dialogue and environment between local brands and its consumers across a multitude of touch points,” Rhulani told BONUS.

He adds that a number of local brands will be given the opportunity to closely interact with their desired demographic markets in order to empower themselves and receive exposure.

“The public can expect a family friendly, fun-filled day with plenty of activities on offer including food stalls, fashion outlets, Xbox and Playstation tournaments, hookah stalls, cocktail bars, beer gardens, tattoo areas, live music and local DJ’s to name a few,” he said.

Rhulani tells BONUS that he previously hosted a series of events in Polokwane called ‘The Sunday Barbeque’ with had a similar aim.

Khutso is an experienced corporate events manager, having previously managed popular Johannesburg nightclubs such as, ‘Sway’ and ‘Booth.’

The event is still in the beginning phase, but they will be opening the floor to potential partners once more traction has been established. “We have an open door policy and are looking forward to creating collaborations with any local brands,” he added.

A limited number of stalls are available and entrepreneurs in Polokwane are encouraged to contact the team to confirm their bookings.

The All In One Picnic Market is scheduled for 28 March. Ticket information will be released on 1 February and the public are urged to keep an eye out on their Facebook page (@allinonepicnic), Twitter (@allinone_picnic) and Instagram (allinone_picnic) for more information.
