POLOKWANE – Energy FM listeners had the opportunity to send in their questions to Energy FM Drive co-host, Rochelle Sekhwela and here are her answers:
How old are you? – Shamima Kekana from Seshego zone 8.
I’m turning 25 in two months’ time.
What went through your mind when you heard that you would join Huggy on the Energy Drive?- Warra Bucho.
I was beyond excited to hear that I will join him for the Energy Drive. To some extent, I was intimidated but as soon as I met Huggy and started working with him, I realised his big voice matched his big heart too. He pushes me every single day and leaves no room for mediocrity.
What career did you choose or love when growing up besides radio presenting? – Marumo Manyama Mankweng unit C.
I loved sport growing up, I still do, so I actually wanted to run track (athletics) or be a sports commentator.
How do you manage to speak so many languages and did you study media or is it just pure talent? – Mammy Moremi in Ladanna.
I attended many schools as I grew up. I also went to a multiracial university so that helped a lot in learning some of the foreign languages. My Pedi and Setswana are from my mother’s side and my Nguni languages are refined from my father’s side.

How do you feel about being a radio personality and how is your working relationship at Energy FM since you started working there? – Kabelo Mogale.
It still feels like a trance. I love my Energy FM family, they really embody the words of “Iron Sharpens Iron”. I have really grown in the few months I’ve been here. I look forward to more paths on this journey. I am very thankful to God.
