POLOKWANE- Michelle Mehale, founder of the Limpopo Top Fashion And Model Awards (LITFMA), says the awards was established to celebrate men and women who are doing outstanding work in the fashion and modelling industry.
She says the awards will give recognition where it is due and be a motivation to those in the industry. “The aim of the awards is to energise and empower the industry, while promoting cultural diversity and social cohesion.” Michelle says through the awards they hope to drive change through fashion and modelling mediums in the province.
She says she has noted that there is a gap in the industry where top models should have been recognised and awarded. “I remember thinking to myself that I would have wanted to take part ion provincial modelling awards but the platform was never there.” She says had this platform been available for her she might have been a nationally recognised model by now.
Although the date for the awards ceremony has not been announced, here are the official categories:

6. Best top agency
7. Best top fashion show
8.Best model life time achiever
9. Best ramp male model
10.Best ramp female model

Michelle says further information will be released in due time. “The participants must just get ready to enter the awards for now.” She says the event is still in its preliminary stages and those who wish to form part of the organising committee can still join.
