Past President of National Council of African Women (NCAW) in Limpopo Salome Rathete through the organisation’s Wayfarers programme recently celebrated Woman’s Day in Polokwane with young women from Seshego and surrounds.
During the celebrations Rathete urged them to uphold principles and morals in order to live a clean life. “We also taught them womanhood, respect, the value of church and how to do house chores. These elements are very important to them, especially in their youth and we believe if they are equipped with such traits they will have a fruitful life.”
She also advised them to refrain from social ills and sexual activities and focus on their education. “Drugs and alcohol are killing our youth, we want them to refrain from such and live an exemplary life,” Rathethe said.
Wayfarers is a social corporate investment programme of NCAW and was launched by Rathete in 2013.
