#WFD -Baked Fish with a Creamy Cheese Sauce

Bake at 200 °C for about 30 minutes.

POLOKWANE – With fish being one of the healthiest meats one can it, baking it will make it even healthier instead of frying.

Ingredients

  1. 2.5ml curry powder
  2. 125ml cheese, grated
  3. 500ml boiling water
  4. 250ml spring onions, chopped
  5. 15ml margarine
  6. 15ml lemon juice
  7. 1 pinch Robertsons Atlantic Sea Salt
  8. Robertsons Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  9. 500g fish fillets
  10. 2 x KNORR Classic White Sauce
  11. 500ml rice, cooked
  12. 2.5ml Robertsons Paprika

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper, sprinkle with lemon juice and set aside.
  3. Melt margarine in a pan and add spring onion and lightly fry.
  4. Prepare KNORR Classic White Sauce by adding sachet contents to a jug and pouring in boiling water.
  5. Stir with a fork for 1 minute until thick.
  6. Stir spring onions into white sauce and add cheese and curry powder.
  7. Grease a baking dish and spread the rice on the bottom and lay the fish fillets on top.
  8. Pour sauce over and sprinkle with Robertsons Paprika.
  9. Bake at 200 °C for about 30 minutes.
