Semifinalists Thamaga needs your vote to win
An ambitious model, Malebo Malebo Thamaga is battling it out as a semifinalist in the 2019 Empress South Africa pageant and she could be the winner, but needs your votes to achieve that.
LIMPOPO – The pageant has taught the 21-year-old from Mmotong the art of giving and to be an inspiration to others. “I’m giving back to the community by visiting preschools, donating clothes, cleaning the environment and also by doing public talks around my community. The youth of today need someone they can look up to when they are growing and my aim is to empower them,” Thamaga said.
Empress South Africa is all about women empowerment, self-development, boosting self-esteem and building industry brands. The pageant also teaches women to believe in themselves and to follow their dreams.
Malebo encourages people to vote for her so that she can reach the finals. To vote for her, SMS ‘Malebo’ to 35334, an SMS costs R3. “I would really appreciate it if people would show their support. You can vote as many times as you can. I am willing to do more and this will only be possible when I advance to the next stage,” she added.
Malebo told CV that she started modelling at a young age and since then, she has never looked back. “I started modelling when I was in still primary school. I have passion for modelling and I’m really happy that I got an opportunity to represent my province in this competition. Competitions like this one gives women a platform to showcase their leadership skills and ability to set up projects which are aimed at assisting the communities,” she concluded.
She is currently studying travelling and tourism at Capricorn TVET College.
