Nozipho wants to become an influential voice

Model Nozipho Mashaba sees herself as a star in the modelling industry.

LIMPOPO – The 25-year-old model from Ha-Kutama continues to work hard towards success and has her sights set on the Empress South Africa 2019 pageant’s crown, which takes place at Suncoast Casino in Durban on 16 December.

Nozipho told CV that being a part of these type of competitions has always been a dream of her’s. “This is a dream come true to and I believe the competition will be a stepladder to many. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to have made it to the semi-finals and through this journey my goal is to find my voice and to share my story with the world. Being a model has been a dream from my childhood and getting bullied and rejected every time I went for castings kept me strong and bold,” Nozipho explained.

She believes a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

“I currently mentor young girls in beauty pageants, public speaking and debates and help them to grow their self-esteem. I’m inspired to empower youth who have given up on their dreams, because I am a hardworking person who believes in changing lives and making the world a better place,” she said.

Nozipho said her modelling career encouraged her to start an organisation called The Unlimited Youth Development (TUYD).

“The company is committed to embrace and promote respect and tolerance of cultural diversity. It also focuses on developing confidence and building self-esteem in our youth through coaching, training and inspiring them to become active leaders in their communities,” she added.

Noziho has previously won three titles from community pageants and said winning the pageant will see her become an influential voice for the youth.

“This will help me to empower more youth than I have empowered thus far,” she concluded.
