The organisers of Miss and Mr Limpopo pageant have invited young male and female models from all over the province to enter the 2020 contest for the sought-after titles.
Entries are now open and will close on 26 July 2019 where after the competition will run its course until the crowning event which is anticipated to take place at a venue in Polokwane on 7 December.
Zonique Saaiman, one of the organisers, said the Mr Limpopo segment replaces the Miss Limpopo Teen category.
“We decided to abolish the Miss Teen segment because we felt past winners were occupied by school work and as a result were unable to fulfil the objectives of the pageant. Some could not step up to the role because they were in high school and they could not juggle school work and the responsibilities that came with the title.
“However, we are looking forward to crown the first ever Mr Limpopo. We are inviting well-groomed young men between the ages 18 and 24 to enter. The winner will become the ambassador of the pageant, a role model for young men in the province and will help us to create more awareness about the Mr Limpopo brand. This category is all new to us and we want to make it a success,” Saaiman said.
