Eleven local models returned to Polokwane with a host of titles from the Miss Paris International pageant presented by Founder of SA and Limpopo Beauty Modelling Academy, Katryn Celliers in France.
The models also had an opportunity to pose for photographs at famous Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.
Bobo Lephondo was crowned Miss Paris International 2019 winner while Reneilwe Sekwakwa was the runner-up. Ohlotse Modise, walked away with the Junior Miss Paris International title.
Special Awards went to Motlatjo Mphosi (Little Fashionista Award), Makhotso Motloung (Miss Personality), Elizabeth Chokoe (Natural Beauty Award), Nikiwe Nkonyani (Vougue Award), Bobo Lephondo (Top Model Award), Thato Moyo (Supreme Queen), Patience Ngobeni (High Fashion Award) and Nicole Powell (Le Plus Beau modele de France).
Celliers said the pageant formed part of their 10 year birthday celebrations. “I love creating opportunities for local models, providing them with a platform to develop their skills and build their confidence, my vision is to not only transform these girls into top models but also into role models who will contribute positively to their communities.”
She added that visiting Paris was a dream come true for all their models and she hoped to create many more international opportunities for them.
“Our models felt right at home among the very fashionable French ladies going about their daily lives in the magical city of lights,” Celliers said.
