Horst Meyer, a financial planner from the city was inducted as President of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100 for 2019/20 at a glamorous function at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday evening.
Meyer congratulated outgoing President Johan Joubert and his wife Yvonne who was the Rotary Ann President, for a sterling job and a great legacy.
“The list of activities for the past year is endless and I will still rely on their support in taking the projects forward with the help of all the Rotarians. The Golf Day and the Oktoberfest were only two of our highly successful projects that allowed us to make a great contribution to Our Home/Ons Tuiste as well as a number of other charitable projects,” Meyer said.
Meyer welcomed Casper Gilfillan, Naas Vorster, John Kirkpatrick, Fred de Wit, Pieter Meintjes, Fred Hurter, Clive Baragwanath and Vincent Cloete as members of the Board for 2019/20 and thanked Lara Kirkpatrick for her willingness to serve as President of the Rotary Anns.
