An important thing to keep in mind is that no matter how much you want to coordinate the outfits, it needs to be age appropriate. Don’t make your child look older just because you want to match. It is also important to consider the comfort of the child. Use materials that allow the child to be a child. Material is an important components that complete an outfit.

A matching outfit doesn’t mean it has to match from head to toe. It can simply be a match material or patterns. It doesn’t have to be something that goes over the top and turn your child into your twin.

“People need to remember that simplicity is key. Don’t turn your child into somebody they are not, just to brag on social media,” she cautioned.

She also cautioned that matching outfits mean you may have to compromise to suit both of you. Because at times what looks good is not always what works practically. Neo explained that the coordination of outfits does not necessarily mean colours match, it can be a set of colours that complement each other and are flattering to the eye. “You can choose to play with fun colours and you can choose to go for demure colours that also bounce off each other. Either way, the complete look will be appealing and create a finished look,” she said.
