Children supported by Sent2Serve Ministries and those residing at Saramitan Children’s Home in Polokwane benefitted from Limpopo Spar’s social outreach programme last Thursday when food parcels were presented to the two organisations.
Zack Roodt, Store Manager at Limpopo Spar said the donation aimed at touching the lives of the less fortunate children. “The parcels contained perishable and non-perishable products. We also included maize meal, rice, snacks and sweets for them to enjoy,” Roodt said.
Melville Botha, Founder of Sent2Serve Ministries said the food parcels will come to the aid of the children and needy families they cater for in various communities. “Currently we take care of about 98 families consisting of about 340 people of which 134 are children under the age of 16. We are grateful to Limpopo Spar and encourage them to continue the good work they are doing through the programme.”
Sarah Galane, Manager at Samaritan Children’s Home said the donation will give the residents at the home a sense of belonging. “We thank them for choosing us. The children will appreciate and enjoy the food,” Galane said.
