Meet Energy FM’s Jack of trades

A radio producer is an integral part of a radio station and there are many different tasks a radio producer need to do. Producers are responsible for developing broadcasting content.

POLOKWANE – A radio producer’s role is to arrange compelling and interesting information for the presenters. If you love listening to music on the radio, or look forward to the energetic and interesting teasing between the presenter, his guest or co-hosts, you should know all this would not have been possible without the radio producer.

If there are any challenges, whether the problem is with the technical equipment, the no-show of an invited guest or the talk show host getting sick and unable to make it to the show, radio producers are the ones who find solutions to these challenges, and get the broadcast done to the delight of its avid listeners.

You will need to be well organised and be able to prioritise. Sometimes you will have only minutes. You will need to be a good communicator. You will liaise with the presenting team, programme, the sales team, listeners and clients who wish to advertise.

You will need the ability to convey your ideas in a way so that people can see and understand.
