Disability does not stop local DJ from creating good music

23-year-old Livhuwani Mutsharuni , popularly known as DJ Marjarine, says being born without limbs has not stopped him from doing everything that regular people do.

POLOKWANE – Seshego born, Livhuwani says being disabled is not the end of the world or life.

“Even though I have no limbs, I have a fully functioning brain which enables me to do normal school activities just like any other young person in the community,” he added.

He spoke to the REVIEW and gave readers a few tips on how to maintain a positive attitude in order to achieve set goals and dreams.
Some of the tips and advises he gave include:
• Avoid negativity, and hanging around negative people
• Keep dreaming and always strive to achieve goals set
• Ask for help where needed, we can’t all be good at everything he said.
• Never be afraid to try something new and different because that particular new venture may just be ones pre-destined purpose
• Pray and always believe in yourself
• Share your knowledge and skills to those who need it

Livhuwani added that he has dreams of opening a music school in the province to empower the disabled to reach for their dreams. “I want to empower, inspire the disabled in the province to strive for success no matter how hard and tough life may get.”

However in the meantime he is asking the community to assist him in acquiring an electric wheelchair which he says will leads to him being self mobile and allow him to focus on achieving his goals and dreams, inspiring others to do the same.
