Rotarians and members of the biker’s community showed their compassion for the elderly when residents of Our Home/Ons Tuiste were treated to a day jol on Saturday.
Rotarians of the Rotary Clubs of Pietersburg 100 and Polokwane and bikers from Ulysses Bosveld, Regimental Crew, Knight Watchmen, Ghost Riders Limpopo, Bikers in Christ and Old School motorcycle clubs ensured that the event was a success and the Rotary Anns served more than 200 breakfasts.
Visitors relaxed under a massive gazebo and supported the stalls with a variety of gifts and much to eat and drink for those that did not go for the breakfast.
Convenor of the organising committee of the event, Rotarian Ian Duncan said that he was pleased with the support received from the community. “It was a great success and the Rotarians and Anns worked very hard to ensure our sustained financial support to Our Home/Ons Tuiste. The elderly residents of the home enjoyed the interaction with visitors and were very appreciative of the gesture to make their day,” Duncan said.
