Lebb Simmons releases a hit single ‘Skorokoro’ with King Monada

Tzaneen songbird, Malebo Lebb Simons Semosa, says house music is a language most South Africans understand and respond to.

POLOKWANE –  Originally from Motupa Village and now residing at Nkowankowa Section C in Tzaneen, house/soul artist Lebb Simons says music has always been her first love. ” I love making music and love making people dance.”

She grew up singing in church which gave her more confidence to sing and perform in front of a big crowd. “That’s where I discovered my talent. Music has always been my first love. I always dreamed of becoming a celebrated musician and after I was introduced to recording professionally by my pastor to Given Shi Kargo Mkhari, who owns Jazz Reel Music,  I started to build my own brand,” she said.

Lebb Simons attended her primary schools at Motupa Kgomo Primary, Mariveni Primary, Tito Mboweni Primary and her high schools at Zivuko Highschool, Shipungu High School and matriculated and completed at DZJ Mtebule Highschool in 2008.When she was in Gr 10, Lebb Simons says she and her friends would were sing demos and covers. “I belonged to a group called Black Clouds, which also helped me steer my way into the music industry,” she added.

Since coming on the music scene, Lebb Simons, has released about six hit singles that did very well in the market/music industry, where most of her music relates with her fans. She was also featured in King Monada latest singe being Modimo o Gona and Skorokoro.

She has also performed at big events such as; Mafefe with King Monada, Mountain Memories Lodge Christmas party, SEF Shutdown party, Village Lifestyle, Modjadji Boys Anniversary in Kgapane, Mzansi Nkowankowa, Coach Mandy’s Sunday Sessions, Holidays Single Launch at Hotel@Tzaneen, MCee’d at a women’s gathering at Hotel@Tzaneen, just to name a few.

Aside from music, Lebb Simons is a Training Officer at a Small Enterprise Foundation and is also an aspiring author.

Her advise to aspiring or upcoming artists; “Your dreams will come true, no matter how long it may seem to take. Talk to God about your hustle. Ask Him to connect you to the right people. Prayer does wonders, you can achieve impossible things when you pray for your dreams,” she advised.
