Debut album for Mpho Munyai
Local up- and-coming gospel singer, Mpho Munyai (32), recently released his debut album, entitled U Hothe Hothe Murena.
LIMPOPO – The 15-track album will be launched at Vhangani International Assemblies of God soon.
Munyai from Dzundeni village, started singing at the age of eight.
Some of the songs on the album are Ha Notshonisi Murena, Vuwa Mbilu, Wo Mpfuna Murena, Yeso Wanga Uya Nndwela, and Ngiya Bonga.
According to Munyai, the song U Hothe Hothe Murena means that God is everywhere.
“No matter what you are facing in life, God will always be with you. I wrote the song the time I was swimming in the midst of misery where I was rejected by some musicians not knowing I got what it takes to be one of the greatest worshippers in the word of God,” he added.
He believes that the album will uplift the listeners’ spirit.
“This album will raise your trust and faith, to trust God in anything.”
He featured his friend, James Mathonsi and Thelma Tintswalo in the album, and won the Rhengu Star Search in 2017.
