Three young local models from Ace Models Limpopo who made it to the semi-final of the Miss SA Teen Ambassador pageant are scheduled to take part in the final round of this pageant in Johannesburg on 29 March.
Miss SA Teen Ambassador is a national youth empowerment programme and Chaunte du Bruyn, Lehlogonolo Manamela and Keri-Leigh Wood are now part of the top 22 entrants who aspire to be named Miss SA Teen Ambassador.
According to Keri-Leigh, the finals of the pageant was supposed to take place on 1 December last year, but was postponed to March. “I had to contain my excitement a little longer, but I am still ready and have more time to attend to fundraising activities as part of my portfolio. I have sold cupcakes and contributed the money towards the SA Teen Ambassador Scholarship Fund. I also intend to get involved in the activities of the SPCA and institutions for less privileged persons,” she said.
“SA Teen is about women empowerment and independence. If I were to win the title, I would love to focus on teenagers believing in themselves and not getting influenced negatively. I am looking forward to activate all my initiatives,” Keri-Leigh earlier said.
Voting lines are still open. Simply SMS your favourite finalist’s name and surname to 35959, SMSes cost R3 each.
