Guests who were invited to the launch of the new BMW X5 last Thursday were not only geared to get a closer look of the new arrival in the showroom but they could also experience hospitality like no other in re-branded dealership now known as Legacy Polokwane.
Among the guests were MEC for Social Development Mapula Mokaba-Phukwana and Polokwane Executive Mayor Thembi Nkadimeng.
Legacy Motor Group is a new majority black owned group within the BMW group of dealerships. This venture started with the purchase of Zambesi Auto with a standalone M-Showroom in 2008. The showroom is the only of its kind in South Africa. This acquisition was the first statement in action of what resonates with the core ascents of what Legacy as a group stands for – innovative out of the box forward thinking, having no fear of being the first and being a leader of unconventional ways of doing business with the understanding of their customers needs.
The group now owns Legacy Polokwane, Menlyn Auto and Legacy Rustenburg.
“Legacy Motor Group’s vision is to see themselves leading the BMW group franchises by sustaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction, being volume leaders in dealerships, have sound eco-friendly practices and have a strong focus on upliftment and development.
“Legacy Motor Group’s top priority is sustainability and they want to have all their new buildings be according to BMW green building standards, take responsibility within local communities and interact with the public in the belief that they are selling a lifestyle and not merely a product,” Ms Busisiwe Mkwanazi the new Chief Marketing Officer summarised, supported by their new Executive team: Mr Mpho Dipela (Chief Executive Officer), Mr Christo Lindeque (Chief Operations Officer) and Mrs Leigh Claasen (Chief Financial Officer).
In his welcoming and address to guests the new Legacy Polokwane Dealer Principal, Mr Humbulani Neswiswi said that when Legacy took over the then Modern Autohaus it brought about positive changes for both employees and customers alike.
“As we entered into Limpopo, we also took a stance to be a responsible citizen. We have so far participated in the prayer day at Modimolle that was hosted by the Department of Transport and Community Safety recently. We also partnered with Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club for their annual rally hosted in the city recently. As BMW we have an exciting product line-up for 2019 which include the all new BMW 3 Series, the first of its kind in the BMW X7, the all new BMW 8 Series and X6 as well as the all new Z4,” Mr Neswiswi said.
The fourth generation of the all new BMW X5 was also revealed on this prestigious night. “The BOSS IS BACK”. The new BMW X5 is now available and impresses with its wealth of innovations representing the most compelling embodiment yet of the familiar Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) blueprint.
The all-new BMW X5 has grown in all dimensions when compared to its predecessor while retaining its character and proportions. Its design language has become more athletic, with more clearly defined surfaces and even more precise lines. The sculpted bonnet has a muscular appearance, and the front overhang is even shorter than in the predecessor. A key part of the front design is the large powerful upright kidney grille, framed by a single surround.
Anyone who’s ever driven a BMW X5 will feel instantly at home in the cockpit of the all-new BMW X5 – even though much has changed. It’s the driver-oriented cockpit design, excellent all-round visibility and typical BMW interior flair that once again make the new BMW luxury SAV unique in this segment.
With exclusive features that are specific to BMW M Performance Vehicles, the BMW X5 M50d confidently leaves all competitors standing. Starting with the M Sport package, that creates great furore with M aerodynamics package and M Sport exhaust unit.
The impressive BMW kidney grille presents itself in Cerium Grey, the exterior mirror caps, decorative trim on the air inlets and outlets, the trapezoid tailpipes and the lettering on the rear are similarly finished in the elegant signature M Performance colour.
The interior of the BMW X5 M50d is the essence of sporting flair and exclusivity. M-specific lettering on the door sill finishers and in the instrument cluster are guaranteed to set pulses racing. When travelling in the BMW X5 M50d, you instantly notice how perfect tuning should feel.
For more information on the vehicle visit Legacy Polokwane on the corner of Nelson Mandela Drive and Grobler Street or contact them on 015 299 8500.
