The management and personnel of ERA Polokwane made a donation consisting of food parcels, stationery and clothing to the residents of Sent 2 Serve Ministries in Polokwane on Tuesday.
The goods were collected by the personnel and management through the company’s Giving Tuesday initiative that aims to encourage philanthropy and celebrate generosity worldwide.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals and ERA Corporate has partnered with Move For Hunger on the initiative.
Sent 2 Serve Ministry caters for 132 underprivileged children from Polokwane and relies on corporate companies and individuals for donations.
Founder Melville Botha said the donation will in particular help the children at the centre who don’t have adequate stationery. “We are grateful to ERA Polokwane and its employees and we are promising them that we will make good use of the goods,” Botha said.
