Local beauties to compete in the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2018 national pageant

Sewela Flora Kobola, and Mahlatse Makwela (24), two local beauties, were chosen to compete in the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2018 national pageant where they will represent Limpopo.

POLOKWANE – Both were recently chosen at a prestigious event hosted at the Protea Hotel Landmark and the aim of the pageant is to empower young women countrywide.

Kobola, who hails from De-vrede village in Bochum, is a third year student in criminology and psychology.

“I can’t wait to represent Limpopo in the national event. It means a lot to me to have been crowned Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2018 Limpopo. It is the first pageant I competed in and meeting everyone and the support they give each other is really humbling,” said Kobola.

Makwela hails from Nkowankowa in Tzaneen, and works as a human capital consultant.

“Being crowned as Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Limpopo, for me, is an honour, and now I am an ambassador everywhere I go. This was extra special as I was crowned on my birthday,” she said.

Miss Mamelodi Sundowns pageant judge, Rose Mantsho, whom is also the first winner of Miss Mamelodi Sundowns pageant said it was a privilege to have been one of the judges.

National Women Coordinator and Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Project Manager, Angela Kubheka commented: “We are excited to take note of the preparations that the ladies undertook. It was hard to choose the winners as they all brought their A games,” said Kubheka.
