Entries are open for the Miss Polokwane Observer Cover Girl 2018 pageant, which is officially the biggest pageant in Limpopo with 21 winners being chosen and special awards to be bestowed.
Pageant director Katryn Celliers said there are lots of amazing prizes up for grabs including a cash prize for the overall winner as well as a Vodacom smart phone for the overall Miss Public Choice winner.
There are various age categories from four years to 24 years and all contestants will attend a free modelling workshop on Saturday 6 October at Sun Meropa.
The closing date for the Public Choice competition is Monday 24 September and the pageant closing date will be Saturday 6 October with the grand finale to take place shortly thereafter. The crowning will see over 30 imported rhinestone crowns and stunning sashes being awarded and each contestant will receive a gift and certificate on pageant day.
Celliers further said the aim of the pageant is to build confidence in young girls and/or women, as well as to make a difference in the community. As part of the entry requirements each contestant has to donate five cans of food, which will go to Bana Pele Drop-in Centre.
