Gospel artist set to launch movie

Gospel sensation, Ngola Lekgothoane, is set to launch his film, 7 Women and One Man, on 21 September.

POLOKWANE – ”The movie is not only going to benefit me as an artist but also benefit other artists and entertainers in Limpopo. I have worked with local actors and actresses as well as film producers, meaning they will also get exposure to showcase their work and talents,” he explained.

The film is inspired by a Biblical verse from the book of Isaiah 4:1 which reads: “In that day, seven women will take hold of one man and say, ‘We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name’.”

In this regard, the gospel sensation says he wants to help reduce the number of marriage infidelity in the community by encouraging men to be faithful.

“I have over the years realised how fast infidelity is growing in our communities and as a result many families become broken and separated. There is a solution to all this, however, as men are naturally not satisfied with having just one woman which is why I strongly believe men could do right by women by marrying them instead of seeing them in secret. This also applies to men who are not married but in committed relationships; this way they will help minimise the spread of STIs and STDs. I suggest that men shy away from getting married because most think that once you get married, you become imprisoned and that is not the case. Adult men and women must be able to sit down and find solutions to problems which they encounter,” he added.

The film will air on DStv channel 164 and 163. “Today we have many women in their late 20s to 50s who are unmarried and engaging in premarital relationships with married men secretly,” he concluded.

Ngola also pleaded with Limpopo to keep voting for him by SMSing Ngolamanglemang to 47052 for the Best Traditional Gospel Album King Lima Awards which will take place at Meropa Casino on 15 September.
