The ninth annual bikers’ bible run organised by Bossie Bosman in conjunction with Bikers in Christ took place at the Polokwane short circuit racetrack on Sunday. Members of Bikers in Christ, friends and family as well as members of The Word Riders from the Bible Society of South Africa first joined in a church service led by Danie Ueckermann from The Word Riders.
The Word Riders are a group of Christian motorbike enthusiasts who travel to different parts of South Africa annually for bible distribution. Along the route, the Word Riders distribute bibles among school children who cannot afford one of their own. These bibles are made possible by the Bible Society of South Africa’s ‘Bibles for Grade 7 learners’ project as well as by funds raised by the motorcyclists themselves.
Following the church service attendees had the opportunity to make donations or purchase bibles and donate them. A donation of around R1 600 collected by the learners of Jabez Christian Academy was also handed over by members of Bikers in Christ.
