Carers of disabled children were delighted to accept a donation of disposable nappies from the Association for Persons with Disability (APD) Limpopo thanks to the generosity of Rotary Club Pietersburg 100 in Polokwane on Friday.
Margaret Malatji, APD Limpopo fundraiser said there is always an enormous need for disposable nappies for disabled babies, children and adults. She thanked the Rotary Club for their open-handedness and appealed to others to bear in mind the everyday needs of the disabled when considering donations.
Recipients Mosibudi and Puledi Maputla on behalf of Paballo Maputla, and Peggy Maake on behalf of Maphifo Maake were effusive in their gratitude. “Nappies are always a worry and even though they are expensive, they are a necessity,” Maake said.
For further information contact social worker Brian Tigere or Malatji on 015 291 1787 or send an email to socialwork@adplimpopo.co.za or awareness@apdlimpopo.co.za. People can also visit APD Limpopo’s website at www.apdlimpopo.co.za or Facebook page APD Limpopo.
