Tiaan (18) says he loves to draw and paint. “I keep myself busy trying to play the guitar, composing a bit of music on my laptop and drawing my own comics. I’d love to go into the film industry and do modelling as it is also part of the creative world,” he says.
Erens (23) is studying towards a BA degree in development studies and is also a qualified lay counsellor giving support to individuals in his community experiencing emotional hardship. “I have experience modelling and have modelled for some of SA’s established designers such as David Tiale, Antherline Couture and Palse by Paledi Segapo. I would love to walk the runway for Milan Fashion Week and be on the covers of top fashion magazines one day,” he says.
Ferrol (19) describes himself as a God-fearing, hard-working and goal driven young man who would like to be a successful businessman doing modelling part-time. “I am also a rugby player and very passionate about the sport. I recently represented Limpopo at the Craven Week and look forward to representing the province in other ways, such as this competition.”
Liam (22) says he is new to modelling but loving every moment. “Being a model has helped me boost my confidence and driven me to be more ambitious about life,” he says, adding that he also enjoys singing and has just started teaching himself to play the guitar.
Kyle (23) is an avid reader and passionate animal activist who believes in equality of all creatures. He describes himself as a simplistically complicated individual. “I aspire to becoming a greater teacher than those who taught me.”
Phillip (25) works as an administrator at an estate agency but says his passion is modelling. “My passion in modelling is in expressing my style of clothing. I love style especially semi-formal and formal wear,” he explains and adds that he has also started advising others what to wear to look smart.
Franco (16) would like to be an electrician after school and his hobbies include fishing, hunting and watching movies. “My role model is Margo Fargo, a Miss South Africa 2018 finalist as we have a lot in common. Her quote by Wayne Dyer, ‘My circumstances do not make me what I am, they reveal who I have chosen to be’ is spot on,” Franco says.
Xandin (18) says his friends would describe him as enthusiastic, goal driven, and a natural leader. “From a young age I’ve aspired to be like my idol, soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. The way he uses his public image not only to be the face of major clothing brands but also to build his own brand is something that has always inspired me.”
Zondile (20) is a professional model and dancer who aspires to become a TV and media personality. “My role model is TV personality Bonang Matheba. I adore her with every fibre of my being! She inspires me to strive for nothing but success in life,” he says.
