Moniccah blesses community with her melodies
Having started singing from an early age, Moniccah Mogashu from Seshego says she knew it was her calling to sing and heal people with her powerful voice.
POLOKWANE – “Growing up I was always complimented on how powerful and healing my voice is, especially at church. I used to sing in the church choir and lead the assembly at school every morning as well as during special ceremonies such as prize giving ceremonies. This is where my love and passion for music erupted. I had dreamed of one day having my own CD as a gospel artist so that I can have something tangible to produce and showcase my talents and singing abilities,” she said.

Moniccah spoke about how it was a challenge for her to record her latest album, titled My Living Testimony, which she hopes will help to heal souls and save societies.
“Although I am a teacher by profession, my passion lies in making music. I work at David Nkoana Primary School in Seshego Zone 8 and almost everyday, I sing for my learners and colleagues as they say they enjoy my voice and music and that it heals them. After so many years of not producing an album, I felt this was the right time to testify to the people about the love and blood of Jesus Christ that saved me from the world of no peace through my music. The name of my album was inspired by the grace and compassion I saw from God when I was going through challenges,” she added. The songstress acknowledges and thanks Nkhume Ramakhanya for being patient with her at the studio during their recording.
