‘Dancing is a mental game as much as it is physical’

Dancers and choreographers, Divine Dance Crew SA duo Kutullo Ben10 Sehloka and Ephraim Thedi Molope, shared some dance tips with Review.

POLOKWANE – Often referred to as the kings of the dance floor by their fans, the duo have entered, and won, numerous competitions since they first started dancing together in 2014.

They recently won a dance competition at the Dance Tribe Competition 2018, hosted at the Library Gardens Auditorium on Saturday 14, July by founder Mogale Jack Rams Ramoshaba.

The duo shared some tips on how someone can become a great dancer in a quick and smart way.

“Dancing is a mental game, just as much as it is a physical one. As hard as we train our techniques, we also listen to the dance advice our teachers give us. That is an important aspect of being a passionate dancer,” Kutullo said.

Ephraim added patience is key when it comes to learning how to dance. “Take your time and find someone who can teach you how to dance, be it a choreographer you know or a dancing studio. Go in there and learn step by step how to be the best dancer. Remember, don’t give up easily. Work hard and play hard,” Ephraim advised.

Kutullo explained dancing to house music is all about the hip, hand, head and foot movements.

“If you cannot master all of these movements, it will take you some time to learn all of the techniques, but with patience and good, professional dancing classes, you will eventually get there,” he concluded.
