Model to host seminar to help young women source jobs

Sharon Mdingi from Mankweng has her heart set on uplifting the youth, especially the young women.

POLOKWANE – The professional model says she is passionate about empowering the youth as she understands the need to make a difference in the world.

“I am where I am today because I have been empowered by strong women. I know I can never change the world but I can be change someones perspective on how they view the world,” she explained.

In her quest to better the lives of the local youth, she plans to host a youth empowerment seminar on 14 July at the University of Limpopo dining hall.

“We want to empower young women to become independent by teaching them how to write a CV, apply for a job and how to prepare for a job interview.

“The seminar is mainly focused on woman from the age of 16-28, however, everyone is invited to learn a thing or two,” she added.

Speakers on the day will include Percy Mohale (president of South African modelling youth forum-SAMYF), Dipuo Malatji (A dancer and professional make up artist), Prince Mahlaola (Electrical Engineer and CEO of PMTECH), Zodwa Mdingi (Model, model coach/director, and CEO of PAMASA (Pageants and Modeling Academy) and the ENACTUS ( Entrepreneurial ACTion US) UL team.

“The seminar is free of charge and we hope it will give the youth the tools needed to better their future.” she concluded.
