Help Newie to bring INGOMAs home

Gospel sensation Newie's talent has been recognised as she was nominated for the Independent National Gospel Music Awards (INGOMA) awards to be held on 25 August at the Lyric Theatre Gold Reef City in Gauteng.

LIMPOPO – Newie is nominated in four categories and three are open for the public to vote, one is for the judges to decide. The categories are best worship album, best live recorded CD, best female artist and best songwriter (not for public voting).

She said she feels delighted for the nominations. “Being nominated for the awards makes me feel honoured and recognised, and that means the God I talk about will also be recognised. I honestly feel honoured,” she said.

“To my fans and supporters, these categories belong to you. You decide whether we win them or not, but with the support I saw from you so far, I am confident that we are bringing it home to Limpopo Venda. Let’s keep voting. I really appreciate the support I’m getting from all of you,” she concluded.

The overall objective of the INGOMA awards is to encourage all upcoming and independent artists to go beyond the call of duty and produce music that meets the highest standard and to also recognise their hard work.
