The SPCA Polokwane has various fundraising initiatives currently and recently announced two more exciting and entertaining projects to add to these. The first project is the SPCA Polokwane Winter Warmer Competition. E-mail a winter warmer photo of your pet, pay an entry fee of R25 and you could win a photoshoot session worth R850 or a Winter Warmer Hamper for your pet.
The competition closes on 31 July. E-mail your photo together with proof of entry payment to spcapolokwaneadoptions@gmail.com and don’t forget to include your contact details.
The second exciting projects it the SPCA Polokwane Golf Day planned for 20 September at the Polokwane Golf Club. A fourball competition is planned and there is place for 18 teams of four players each. Entry fee is R2 000 per team.
Companies or other institutions will have the opportunity to sponsor one or more of the 18 holes at R2 500 per hole. According to Selma Landman, SPCA Polokwane Manager, this sponsorship will allow sponsors to market their products and/or service as well as create awareness of animal welfare. “We plan to do this every year, and contributions towards making the day a success will be highly appreciated,” she said.

“As everyone knows, the SPCA is a non-profit charity organisation and we are dependent on public donations and funding. There is an enormous need,” Landman concluded.
