LIMPOPO – “Every day at Munghana Lonene FM is a learning experience as there are many people to learn from daily. Joining their team has introduced me to the professional radio and I love as well as respect the brand,” he said.
“My career in radio started in 2016 but my love for radio began at a tender age. I have always loved presenting and aspired to be on radio and I hope to one day become a heavyweight, not only as a radio presenter but in the media industry as a whole.
“I was mentored by the well-known radio DJ, Shonisani Muleya, who is popularly known as Ashifashabba and I have always looked up to him and other radio heavyweights such as Sydney Baloyi and DJ Brian Rikhotso.”
Born and raised in Malamulele township, Themba started his career as a presenter at Malamulele FM, later joining Choice FM and Capricorn FM.
Bishop Baloyi, a veteran radio journalist, said he was happy for Themba as he had seen him grow as a presenter from his time at Malamulele FM.
“I’m proud of my boy Themba, this shows that hard work and perseverance pays off. I wish him all the best at Munghana Lonene FM,” Bishop said.
