Energy FM give a helping hand

Energy FM staff and listeners visited the Seshego Victim Empowerment Centre on Monday, 4 June where they donated clothes to the victims in the centre's care.

POLOKWANE – Energy FM Station Manager, Bothwell BK Matewe, told BONUS the donation is meant to help victims of domestic abuse and he thanked their listeners for rising to the challenge when they asked them to join hands and help the centre, which is one of the station’s beneficiaries as part of its community responsibility initiative.

“I’m proud the station is now celebrating being the number one community radio station in the province and that we have managed to put a smile on the faces of those in need.”

“We are duty bound to assist those in need however we can,” BK said.

When accepting the donation at the Seshego Victim Empowerment Centre, Const Tlabele Kunutu from the Seshego Police Station said the clothes will go a long way in helping those in need, especially with the cold winter ahead.

He also challenged other companies and private individuals to continue giving back to those in need at all times to make the province a better place for everyone.
