POLOKWANE – While no Fifa World Cup song will ever compare to Waka Waka, the official song for the 2018 Fifa World Cup was recently released.
And even though every South African will forever have ‘Tsamina mina eh eh, Waka waka eh eh’ stuck in their heads, ‘Live it Up’ is a hip hop and reggaeton song produced by produced by Diplo, The Picard Brothers and Free School.
The music video for the song was released on June 8, 2018 and features Nicky Jam, Will Smith, Era Istrefi, and Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho, among images from previous tournaments.
The 2018 Fifa World Cup will kick off in Russia tomorrow, 14 June, and fans can catch all the games live on Supersport as well as SABC 1.
