Local businessman Gerald Correia received honorary membership of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100 during the club’s meeting at the Bowls Club in the city last Thursday evening. The club also received four awards from Rotary International for achievements during 2016/17.
Peter Mockford, President of the Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100, presented the honorary membership to Correia and thanked him for his ongoing support to Rotary and welcomed him to the ranks of distinguished members of the organisation.
Grant Daly, Past District Governor of Rotary District 9400, of which Limpopo forms part, presented four awards from Rotary International to the club. The awards were received on behalf of the club by Pieter Vermeulen, who was the President for 2016/17. The club received the Top Three Highest Per Capita Annual Giving Banner, membership of the Every Rotarian, Every Year Club and the 100% Foundation Giving Club as well as the End Polio Now: Make History Today Campaign Certificate of Appreciation.
