POLOKWANE – The 24-year old Law student, currently enrolled with the University of South Africa wants to use his degree, to give himself and others an added advantage in the industry. “I am currently in music production and some DJ work in collaboration with a few colleagues. I hope to one day make it big in this industry, having started in 2008, I hope to one day be as big as Black Coffee. I have registered towards a law qualification with the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Polokwane, Limpopo. The reason why I’m pursuing this course is because I’m passionate about law especially contracts as required in the music industry. I want to at the same time as I will be producing music, help musicians and artists with the law of the entertainment industry from copyrighting their content and so forth,” he explained.
His love for this particular genre is one which he acquired over a long period of time. “My passion with House music comes from the time when I was young as I was and have always been good company to people. I used to play a good selection of music that made people dance,” he added.
Sharing that this too is an educational experience, G-soul Blust is quite sure that he is in pursuit of the perfect career. “Every time I engage myself in House music production, I learn and experience new sounds and the music is loved by many people especially among the youth which is more of my target audience. House music makes me feel unique as I get to create beats and sounds that have never been heard. I am inspired by other house artists such as Black Coffee, Da capo, Vinny Da Vinci, Dj Ganyane, Oskido and other house music legends in South Africa,” he added.
