Thanks to everyone who donated blood during December, SANBS Limpopo was able to exceed their forecast by 18%.
“But people mustn’t stop donating now, because we have used up the excess blood we had and the roads are still busy with people returning from holiday,” Dottie Pinn, Public Relations Officer of SANBS said.
She further said much of the blood collected was due to blood drives at shopping centres and holiday resorts. “The blood drives at Savannah Mall, Mall of the North and ATKV Eiland Spa were immensely successful.”
She said at Savannah Mall 355 people donated, at Mall of the North 139 donated and at ATKV Eiland Spa 149 donated.
