Local beauty gears up for Mrs SA final stretch

Limpopo beauty and one of the top 25 Mrs South Africa finalists, Mankoana Nhlebela, shared her experience with Review.

POLOKWANE – “The top 25 was announced earlier this year during a prestigious gala dinner at Emperors Palace. It was nerve-wracking to wait amid the top 100 semi-finalists backstage for our names to be called. One of the things I will cherish most is that all the contestants are truly incredible. It was humbling and an immense honour to have my name called as one of the finalists and I look forward to representing my province. I know I will make everyone proud,” she said.

It has now been roughly six months after the big announcement and Mankoana said she is still grateful and humbled to have been afforded the opportunity to be a part of this incredible women empowerment movement. “I have thoroughly enjoyed the many opportunities of growth and connecting with the other South African women to have much-needed dialogue around varying topics that impact us,” she said.

One of the things she found important during the journey thus far is the importance of self-reflection.

“It has been truly a fulfilling season but also quite a long journey, so it is important to not lose sight of the primary reason why I entered the pageant, to make a difference in people’s lives,” she added.

Limpopo wishes you the best of luck in the Mrs South Africa pageant.
