Stationary for the needy

The staff of SAHK Stationery is holding a 'back to school' project where school items can be delivered by them to be donated to under privileged learners in schools around Mokopane.

MOKOPANE – Benedette Swarts (owner) and her colleague Aborn Khumalo (owner) decided to initiate this project after realising how many disadvantaged learners and families there are in and around Mokopane. “I think that it is a great idea to help the needy who can not afford to buy stationery,” said Swarts.

She explained that the idea is to package the used stationery and deliver it to learners. “When there is an item short for e.g. a scissor or eraser we as business will add that to the package to make sure it is full.”

Swarts said that residents can donate anything from stationery to schoolbags and pencil cases. Khumalo kindly asks everyone to help with this initiative as it is for a very good cause.

“Education is very important, but learners can not be educated without the necessary equipment.”

For more information Swarts can be contacted at 082 099 2553.
