Hip Hop newbie ‘Tyrone’ hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams

With a passion for the music industry, Phaahla Tunte Ntsoane would like to inspire others.

POLOKWANE – The 17-year-old who some refer to as ‘Tyrone’, started making music at the age of nine. With musical influences such as Drake, AKA, Kwesta, Ricky Rick, Cassper Nyovest and the late Notorious BIG, the young man would like to motivate his fellow peers into reaching for their dreams and attaining these, as he believed his musical influences did the same.

The Polokwane resident seems to not only dabble in music, but has a keen interest in politics.

‘My hobbies and interests differ a lot, in the sense that I am an affiliated member of the ANCYL in this region, I have interest in politics because I want to learn more about things like how politics plays a big role in each and every industry in the society; especially when it comes to connections and how to use those to your advantage so that you can succeed in life. I joined the movement because I wanted to be part of the decisions that the government takes and makes on our behalf, I want to grow in this politics industry. I also felt as it is my responsibility to affiliate myself with the influential people in politics so that I can learn a thing or two from them. I have been privileged enough to go to a private school because of the movement and being an affiliated member who engages and is actively engaged in every event and activities that they host, it is beneficial for the youth to be active in such activities because solid productive relationships are formed from such relations.” he explained.

Tyrone who is a gr. 11 learner at Mitchell House School, has already released his first single titled ‘Trumpets’ which is available on Soundcloud, and has plans underway to release more. “My music is inspired by people and the events that occur around me,” he concluded.
