POLOKWANE – Long gone are the days when you had to visit a library, sit quietly for hours searching for information and write it out.
Today, nineteen years ago, Google saw the light and ever since then, made searching for information, people, jobs and everything else so much easier.
Google was created by two students in a garage and it is now the world’s most used search engine.
When you open Google today, their doodle consists of presents and a cake with candles, celebrating their birthday
When you click on the doodle, you get a chance to spin a rotating wheel, the Google Birthday Surprise Spinner.
You will land on one of 19 pictures each representing a game. The spinner Google Doodle will link you to 19 surprises that the search engine has launched over the years.
Different games include Pac Man, Halloween Game, Snake game, Tic-tac-toe, Birthday piñata, Theramin. There is also an Earth Day quiz, and DJing, where you can create your own music.
