Locals will be rocking to DJ Isho’s tunes for years to come
Passionate about music, Ishmael DJ Isho Mashao (26), loves what he does and says he will not give up music for anything.
POLOKWANE – Born and bred in a small village in Bolobedu, Mawa Block 12, it was also here where his interest in music began 10 years ago.
“Thus far it has been a great experience for me. Although it took a while for me to become well-known and popular I am happy people love my work as much as I do,” he told BONUS.
Despite performing for the past 10 years, DJ Isho only began performing professionally last year and immediately made waves in the industry.
He has performed at several venues and also performed at the Sun Meropa Limpopo Royal event earlier this year and two of his singles, Makarina and Makhubeni is getting airplay on various local radio stations such as Energy FM.
“I’m working on a 16-track album titled Purified which will be out at the end of this month. It’s going to be a very exciting and fun album for the youth and I’m sure everyone will love it,” he said. He added unlike many other DJ’s who just put their music on shuffle and hope for the best at gigs, he enjoys making a dynamic playlist for event, ensuring the music flows into each other or making a playlist according to the event’s theme.
His music is available on iTunes and will soon be available on the shelves in stores around Polokwane.
