Gear up for the Derby Top Eight Tournament

POLOKWANE – To outline their plans for the upcoming Derby Top Eight Tournament, the Polokwane Social Derby recently held a media briefing at Side Dish in Seshego Zone 2.

According to Polokwane Social Event executive founding member, Neo Vega, they are leading the movement in the sport revolution in Polokwane. “We as young people believe a healthy lifestyle, sport and friendship complement each other. We are young, hardworking and successful personalities and our main aim is to unite the youth of Polokwane through sport activities. We encourage love and happiness and also continue to fight diseases through a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
Neo added this social session echoes the advent of the new style and entertainment experience in the city and marks the beginning of a new heritage that upholds and treasures the culture of Limpopo entertainment and attracts people from all age groups.
“We want to give momentum to the people who want to start going to the gymnasium and living healthier lives. Through these initiatives we aim to encourage the youth to stay away from drugs and substance abuse as the Polokwane Social Derby promotes healthy living. We want to build and improve the brand awareness of our local entertainers and create a platform that will be a continuous web of opportunity and empowerment in the sport and entertainment industry. We will also create job opportunities by engaging a range of sectors and industries within Polokwane by branding and sponsoring,” he said.
