Try this delicious guilt free garlic bread

Make a banting meal for yourself and stay healthy this Spring.

POLOKWANE – A delicious low carb garlic bread will be your finished product. Add toppings such as cucumber, avocado, leftover chicken and some home-made sour cream and chive dip.

 

Here’s what you will need to make the low carb garlic bread:

2 eggs

2Tbsp of mozzarella or cheddar cheese

1Tbsp of psyllium husk (you can always order this product online or in one the shops that sell most of banting products in bulk)

Garlic powder

Salt to taste

1Tsp of coconut oil

 

How to prepare your low carb garlic bread:

Heat up the coconut oil in a pan for about 5 – 10minutes

In the meantime place the remaining ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly

After whisking the mixture into a smooth mixture, pour the mix in your pan and fry it on low heat, flipping over carefully with a spachelor to cook both sides

Then place the fried mix (as it basically forms into a pizza base) on a lined tray and top with cheese and add any additional topping you like or prefer (you can use sliced or graded cheese on the base)

Boil the base along with the cheese in the oven till you see the cheese melting or until the cheese melts

When the base and the cheese are done in the oven, cut into rectangular slices and serve with the sour cream and chives dip

 

How to make sour cream and chives dipping sauce:

4Tbsp of sour cream

1Tbsp of cream cheese

Salt and black pepper

3Tbsp of chopped fresh chive

whisk the sour cream, cream cheese and seasoning

chop in the chives and mix well

Finished, delicious and complete sour cream and chives dip, topped up with more chives as the finishing touch

Now sit back, relax and enjoy your healthy low carbed garlic bread with some sour cream and chives dip.
