Heavenly voices to bless our ears

Exalted Praise, a gospel band comprising 13 members, was founded in 2014 and is steadily creating a name in the local gospel scene.

POLOKWANE – Two keyboardists, two bassists and a drummer accompany the vocalists.

The band is made up of people from various churches who came together to minister through songs of praise and worship that would bring about change in people’s lives.

They held their first event at the SABC auditorium in 2014 as a build-up to their launch which was held at the Library Gardens auditorium.

The band is not signed to a record label which means they have to work twice as hard to secure funding for their events and to achieve recognition.

The challenges faced by the group vary from getting booked for events and transportation to venues, to making time to rehearse as most of the members are full-time students.

Exalted Praise has big plans for the rest of the year and their fans can look forward to more amazing performances.

They have an event planned towards the end of the year which will coincide with their live DVD recording and they will continue to launch more music and perform at concerts. Do not miss their pre-show this year at the Library Gardens auditorium on 22 July at 15:00.

Their message to up-and-coming bands is to focus on their music, even when things do not come together as planned.

The band can be contacted on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter @Exalted Praise.
